ABOUT ABOUT

Windsor Castle: Behind the Closed Doors

The British monarchy is careening from scandal to scandal just as Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee approaches. Andrew is no longer His Royal Highness. Harry and Meghan have stepped away from the royal family and lost their patronages. Prince Charles is determined to make Camilla his queen. And Kate Middleton seems ascendant amid the palace intrigue.

Can the British monarchy survive the chaos? How is the Queen dealing with the palace intrigue?

No one is better equipped to answer those questions than Tina Brown, who is picking up where The Diana Chronicles left off with The Palace Papers.

She joins us for a riveting account of the survival of a family whose commitment to duty is running smack into the very human desires of love, ambition and the longing for escape.

Tina Brown is an award-winning writer and editor of Tatler, Vanity Fair, and The New Yorker, as well as founder of The Daily Beast and the Women in the World summits. Her 2007 biography of the Princess of Wales topped the New York Times bestseller list. She was awarded the CBE (Commander of the British Empire) by Queen Elizabeth II for her services to journalism.

Brown will be in conversation with journalist Lesley Stahl. Brown will be in conversation with journalist Lesley Stahl.
